Congratulations again to our hometown Champ, Terence Bud Crawford, undisputed welterweight champ!

Updated: Aug 15, 2023

Congratulations again to our hometown Champ, Terence Bud Crawford! He Definitely Put on For the City of North Omaha, Nebraska. We are so very proud of everything that he has accomplished,

as being the undisputed welterweight champion of the world.

Were you able to attend the Victory Parade and/or Steelhouse Omaha Celebration later on that night?

If so, please feel free to share your experience in the comments below.

I made it downtown the Gene Leahy Mall around 8:15am Saturday morning, to set up our chairs, and blankets on the lawn. Then headed back up to

Farnam Street for the Victory Parade. I, my family, and my friends had an amazing time celebrating our Champ. We were also able to meet and take pictures with the boxer Shawn Porter. And I must say that he is the coolest and very down to earth. And oh yeah, he smelled absolutely amazing. I'm still trying to follow that scent. LMAO (See pic below).

Also, I want to shout out everyone that was involved in setting up, planning and facilitating this celebration in such a short amount of time. Such as the City of Omaha, Precious McKesson, Steven "So Cold" Nelson, Power 106.9, Deejay Bishop, DJ Mista Soull, 87.9 The CLTR, P.Minor, Joshua El'Stupo, Josh Jones, Mike'l Kristi Andersen, Jason Boyd, Taylor and Crew, Kimara Zuri Snipes, Mike Buddiesceo Kuhn, Crystal Monique, Racquel Henderson, Makayla McMorris with MoxieSixteen, Chief Warren, and more.

From the parade, the dancers, the drill teams,

to the fleet of tricked out rides, to the high-profile

celebrities who attended the festivities, the city of

Omaha, and our community, made sure that this celebration would be one for the books, to go down in history. Not only do I believe that Bud received a

celebration worthy of his boxing achievements. But for his involvement in the community, especially with the youth, at his B&B Sports Academy, the city of Omaha had a special surprise

for him.

In the City of Omaha, where Bud grew up, he owns,

coaches and mentors at the B&B Sports Academy.

And at the facility located at 3034 Sprague Street,

Omaha, Nebraska 68111, the mission of the academy, has always been the same.

B&B Sports Academy is a community-based athletic center that builds body, mind and character. Expert, caring coaches help members reach goals inside and outside the ring. Positive, structured activities teach confidence, discipline and healthy habits for a lifetime. Learn about the winning edge at B&B, the home gym of world champion Terence “Bud” Crawford.

In a recent interview before his Errol Spence, Jr. fight, Bud mentioned that he would like to expand the academy to coach and mentor more youth.

Because his current facility has a long waiting list.

So, during the Victory Parade and Celebration, the Mayor had a special surprise for him. With the approval of Omaha City Council, the Mayor Jean Stothert, of Omaha announced that they are agreeing to sell him the plot of land next to his boxing gym/academy in the city for just $1 so he can use it to build expanded facilities. (See pics below). So, again, shout out to our very own hometown Champ, Terence Bud Crawford for all of his achievements and accolades, including catching and frying the big "fish" aka Errol Spence, Jr.
