$1 million bail set for Omaha Council Candidate David Mitchell charged with sexual assault of minor

Today on Thursday September 17, 2020, a judge has set a bond for David Mitchell, in the amount of $1 million. Mitchell, an Omaha District 2 Council Candidate was accused of first degree sexual assault against a minor. Allegedly Mitchell and the minor who was between 14 and 15 years old had sexual encounters when living at the same foster home during 2014. At the time in question Mitchell was 21 years old. Also per Investigators, Mitchell and the alleged victim, previously met up as recent as one week ago. (See previous report below).
